Introduction

The great Nora Ephron once said, “When you slip on a banana peel, people laugh at you. But when you tell people you slipped on a banana peel, it’s your laugh.”

In my day-to-day life, I encounter many banana peels. Most of them are silly, with some occurrences being so outlandish that they’re nearly impossible to believe. (I promise, it happens.)  Some are difficult, as most twentysomethings going through the trials and tribulations of young adulthood can relate. And some are just downright wonderful because God has provided countless times before and will continue to do so always.

Over the past summer, I blogged about my experiences in the United Kingdom, both on vacation with my family and during my study abroad program. Not only did I have lots of fun posting, but I also learned a lot about myself through reflection and recollection. Writing has always been a blessing to me, which is why I’ve decided to document my days in the form of a blog.

Through everything that happens to me, whether it be a monumental game-changer or a small act of normalcy, I try to pursue a silver lining and find the laughter. Because life is a beautiful thing, and I intend to appreciate every minute of it.

Happy New Year!
